Nice job by Randy Edsall. 4 of the 5 losses were 3 points or less - they may be ready for the BCS in a year or two.

Actually, Spurrier did publically apologize for that performance. He embarrased Columbia, SC as well as the rest of the SEC. Trust me, people in the south still have no idea who Randy Edsell is and if they have heard of him, they assume he wouldn't be successful playing in "their" conference. Even though the SEC went 7-2 in bowl games last year, it doesn't surprise me that they are 4-4 this year. If the bowl committees keep pairing the #7 and #8 teams from the SEC against other conference's #2's and #3's, then inevitably, the SEC will stop winning all the bowls.
