SwK, I love your website. What a fantastic collection!
It's genuinely refreshing to see such world class beauties still raw and not entombed in plastic slabs.

SwK, I have collected US coins for many years, and in the late 1990s when I moved to Australia, started collecting pre-decimal Australian coins. I have recently become more interested in British coins and am currently concentrating on milled Farthings.
I just purchased a 1698 Date in Legend Farthing which is quite worn, but otherwise a nice unmolested example. I feel lucky to get one in any condition. It hasn't arrived yet, postage being slow during the holidays. I'm quite excited about it's arrival!
I find it very interesting and have learned a great deal about European history and the different monarchs, etc. I don't have a lot of money to spend on coins, so my goal in putting this set together is to spend no more than $20 per coin and hunt for the best example I can for that amount. I realize this will be difficult, or highly unlikely, with some issues, but so far the occasional bargain crops up. That just adds more challenge to the hunt!
I found it ironic that you posted a picture of the 1827 1d, at first I thought it was a Farthing. The 1827 is the only one I need to complete my George IV Farthing set.
Like others, I would love to hear the full story about the gold Charles II Farthing. Very interesting, I'm sure!
