It's not that I'm greedy, it's the hunt and find I get a rush from. A circulated 1969 DDO would be nice. A real nice find would be a group of wheats that someone saved from when they were taped to packs of cigarettes from vending machines, with a few 1955 ddo's included. It's the hunt, the find, the coin.
"My friends who see my collection sometimes ask what something costs. I tell them and they are in awe at my stupidity." (Baccaruda, 12/03).I find it hard to believe that he (Trump) rushed to some hotel to meet girls of loose morals, although ours are undoubtedly the best in the world. (Putin 1/17) Gone but not forgotten. IGWT, Speedy, Bear, BigE, HokieFore, John Burns, Russ, TahoeDale, Dahlonega, Astrorat, Stewart Blay, Oldhoopster, Broadstruck, Ricko.
Obtaining an 1822 Bust Dime would be my largest, slightly reasonable, accomplishment for 2010. It would be very difficult, and I would need to save up for a long enough time, but I think I could pick one up.
This would then compromise my original goal to get 10 of the 20 Capped Bust Dimes or Quarters I need to finish each collection!
dream coin? an 1861 D gold dollar, problem free, TPG VF to XF.
In the "Dream"......I buy an old non descript book from a flea market. Later I open it up to find a small envelope, with "To Will, From Grandfather Merry Christmas 1861".....since Im making up 'the dream' lets say there are seven of them in the little envelope. All..fresh.....untouched.....never circulated 61Ds...
