Quarterly special / crossover

sumduncesumdunce Posts: 1,247 ✭✭✭✭
I broke out my NGC MS66 1940 D/D (not attributed) that I recently found and sent it in for the Quarterly Grading special.

The results posted today:
1 1 XXXXXXXX 5812 1940-D 25C US MS66

It will be sent to James Wiles for attribution after I get it back.

Sounds good. It's nice to know what it is before the quarter starts.

Well that's a bummer. The only US gold coin I have in my collection was slabbed two years ago. Here is one quarter I won't get to play with.image

Kudos indeed! This is a terrific benefit of PCGS membership, with both a material benefit and a reasonably high "fun factor." As I await the arrival in the mail of last quarter's submission (one big "Woo-Hoo," as it turned out) I'll be filling out a form and packaging my lone raw gold coin ($2.5 Indian) for submission.

Thanks VERY much, PCGS, for offering the quarterly grading special!
