I bought 5 79 proof sets at an estate auction once. I paid about $6-7 each. All had T2 SBAs!

    Nice T2.

A few months ago I helped a non-collector friend dispose of his father's casual collection. Both 1979 proof sets were all T2 coins, which was a pleasant surprise to him when I handed him the money. He could not beliefe the difference in value when I showed him pix of the two mintmark types.

"That little letter made THAT much difference?!"

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
