Maybe Rico Carty on the second bat?

If the player's last name begins with the letter "C", as it appears to me, this LINK may help. Then again, the signature might not belong to a player ... could be a coach, mgr, etc.

    Hope it helps,

Just a guess-but could the first one be Cepeda? The second one looks like Carty.

Definitely Carty on the 2nd bat. If it was indeed from the 1976 All-Star game the unknown signature on the top doesn't resemble anyone in uniform on either side, player, coach, or umpire. Might be a bat boy or trainer, someone like that.

Just checked and I guess it's not Orlando, he retired after 1974.

there is a line through that "E" though which makes me feel like it might be a T or even Pete???

Now I am not so sure the second one is Carty, as he was not on the 76 All Star roster.

I was thinking it was "Pete" too, and the only Pete in the game was Rose.
I don't believe Rose signs like that.

The only other player that crosses the last T is Rusty Staub. So, maybe it is
The Red Grand (or whatever his nickname was)

i''m not 100% sure they're all from the '76 all-star game, i wouldnt have figured out what those players had in common without TheHun pointing it out..

Oh okay, thanx for the clarification. Then the second one is probably Carty.

Good one Ironman fan! I don't have a Cueller to compare but nice call. It's definitely him.

The second is without a doubt Rico Carty.

I think the '76 AS Game connection is more coincidence. The bat is more likely from an Old Timers or Baseball Assistance Team Charity event.

You're right about that being Cuellar, but that isnt the signature that's stumping him. Cuellar is "behind" Cedeno (so to speak), he needs ID on the signature "under" Cedeno.

I'm thinking this is a 70's All Star Sig on bat thing. Perry, can you give us
some more names on the bats? If it is a 70's All Stars, that rules out Lac*ock
and also another wild guess of Enos Cabell, both of whom were never All Stars.

Isn't Mike Cuellar the one directly below Cedeno?

At least it's a signature, not the collection of 3 or 4 random lines that passes for a name with most modern pro athletes.

HAHAHA same here ... Without comparing to any other sigs, I thought the first name was PETE or maybe it was Clete Boyer (Until I saw Clete's sig). How someone figured out it was Cuellar (unless they were familiar with his sig) is beyond me. GOOD DETECTIVE WORK!
