In a way, I like what Tiger has done.

Instead of another soppy, weepy, please forgive me speech that all the other sinners before him have done, Tiger shut the door on the world and demanded his privacy.

Though the silence may further hurt him financially, no one can deny that he has earned what is his (perhaps Steroid enhanced, but that remains to be determined) and he certainly has the right to not address the public on these matters.
