Grades Popped and pretty good

Grades popped after only about 10 days. I am really happy with the 1971's but surprised at the 1974's. The 1974's were all from vending and I picked lower population commons in PSA 9 in hopes that I would get a bunch of 9's and auction them off...no such luck. Some nice 1966 baseball also. I picked up the 1964 Marichal ($10) at this year's National as well as the 1971 Williams ($15), 1972 Garvey ($16) and the 1973 Palmer and Killebrew at $2.00 each. Goes to show you can still buy some nice cards that aren't graded.

    Mega $$ with this one. I have one that just came back N6 min. size that looks like an 8. I'll try again. So far it's been PSA 6, evid of trim and now min. size.

    It seems like the MINT 9 1966 TOPPS 544 CARDINALS ROOKIES has been drawing some attention. Don't really know its value other than the SMR is $90.00. So why do you think it is a big $ card?

    Probably along with Mel Queen and Grant Jackson the Cardinals rookie card is the hardest to find in PSA 8's for that set. I sold an 8 for $677 a few months back, so with a pop of 5 I'd say a 9 goes for at least $1000.
    From what I can tell, 707 is the DOLLAR STORE compared to deans_cards. For what that guy charges, if I ever bought anything from him I would expect it to be delivered to me in a frickin' limo.

    If interested in selling, I'd email the guys at the top of the 66 registry. As bbuckner22 states above, I bet you'll get four figures easily for that card.

    Well, the PSA cards arrived. Here's a scan of the 1966 Cardinal Rookies PSA 9. I am convinced and will sell it.

    Based on what I've read in this post, I'll offer it for $1125 to 1966 Set Registry members and see what happens.
