Do you like this card? Part II. Another card for your consideration.

I bought this at the National on a "layaway" plan, received it and some others a few days ago as a Christmas present to myself. Would like some honest opinions on it.

A little off centered as Im sure you can see that as well, but it doesnt take away from the great eye appeal in my opinion.

    Beautiful card.

Nice looking card. The lower left corner will prevent it from grading higher IMO.

Looks like an accurate grade. I wouldn't kick it out of my collection, as long as I was happy with the price I paid.

  • A little better centering and definitely an 8.5.

I agree with everyone else. A beautiful card. Nice registration. Just slightly OC, but very nicely centered for a '57 and it has great eye appeal. Accurately graded with the bottom corners looking a little soft, the left a little more so. It's a keeper in my book.

Agree with the majority on this one. A BEAUTIFUL looking card ... IMO, L/R centering and bottom corners keep it in it's "8" holder. Top corners look like it just came off the presses! ENJOY.
    STAY HEALTHY!

Does anyone think it would look even better in a nice new, shiny PSA holder? I hate the old flips.

I really liked the card when I spotted it in Cleveland, but then got really picky with it yesterday. Definitely not an 8.5 due to lower corners, but upper corners are blazers and zero print on this card. Registration is great and the borders are pretty white, which I look for when I buy 57's to keep.

Don't most people here say something along the lines of "Buy the card, not the case."? I think it's a beaut as is....

Not too many cards look better than a crisp 57, and that one is one of the best.

Now that upstages Teddy Ballgame by a mile!! and I love the SGC holdersimage

Wow the colors and registration on the Mantle really pop out! Little print defect under his ear, but not very noticable and looks like maybe a touch on a couple of the corners. Nice centering. An outstanding card all around. I wonder if it could cross into a PSA 8.5.

I agree, I liked the Williams, but this beats that card hands down. The black border SGC slab, probably helps the colors pop more too. Definitely a keeper in my book.
