NPN thread

Anyone else here still do them?

I do them regularly, and stuff still comes in, though it has been quite a while since I had a spectacular hit.

The latest one I received was a Medal of Honor Winner insert card from Topps American Heritage.

If you ever wonder if it's worth it, the following are probably my best successes over the years:

Aspirations Autographs David Price autographed rookie parallel #/100
Topps 205 T205 Buyback Gabby Street
Anquan Boldin autographed jumbo jersey swatch rookie (signed on the pull-out jersey piece)
Jim Palmer autographed jersey card
Franco Harris autographed #/25
Alonzo Mourning autographed jersey card #/25
NBA Draft Day Stitching Jason Kapono
Ryan Shealy press plate

I've gotten lots of other #d rookies and parallels, GU cards, autographed cards, shortprints, and inserts too.

It helps that I can use addresses for family and friends, so I have 5 places to send for Panini and Topps.

What is NPN? It sounds similar to TTM from reading your message, but I haven't heard of this and don't know how it works and why you would need multiple addresses?

    Thanks for any info...

    Yes, please elaborate.

  • No Purchase Necessary. On packs there is a small print No Purchase Necessary to potentially get cards from the stated odds.
  • I did it twice and got a few commons of modern crap that were worth less than the cost of postage.
  • I have tried the Upper Deck one, but I have not gotten anything from them..

The reason you want multiple addresses is that all the card companies limit it to 1 or 2 requests per household.

NPN Sportscards has a good listing of where to send the requests.

Upper Deck now has you enter online rather than by mail.

Sometimes you get back nothing, sometimes you get back a card that's no big deal, sometimes you get something decent (Topps Gold parallels, #d inserts, or the like), sometimes you get something very nice (jersey cards or #d rookies), and occasionally you get something great.

I haven't tried before, but just now entered the Upper Deck ones since they were online. I'll post back if I actually get anything.
