Question on "variety"

For the 1960 Braves Lake to Lake set they have a punched version of the Bruton listed on a separate line. My question is why? The Lake to Lakes were punched when they were entered for a prize redemption, they were not originally produced this way. If I were to submit a punched Bruton, would I have to have it listed as the punched variety or could I request it receive a grade as a standard card (maybe a 1 or A)? The reason I ask is I have a complete set, but the Bruton is punched. If I did have this graded with the "variety" designation would it leave me one card short? Thanks.

A basic set composite allows cards either with or without variations to be used in each slot. (You will NOT be one card short.)
The punched card or "Punch-Out" version as listed in the PSA POP report will ONLY receive an "authentic grade" at best.

That Bruton, as you well know, is a pretty tough card to find in either version!
