Did you get coins for Christmas when you were a kid? Or now?!

I used to, from about age 8 to 12. I got some very nice VF or XF Liberty Seated and Barber type coins for Christmas's, and an XF 1828 Bust Half once. I still have all of those. My parents had a good eye. By age 12 I got a paper route and was able to buy more coins on my own. I don't remember getting coins for Christmas after then, oh except for the current year proof set sometimes.

I got an 1835 Half Cent in VF when I was about 12-13 for Christmas. It is the only Half Cent I have ever owned. That same Christmas I got an 1861 Confederate $10, one of the scarcer varieties also.

I get them now. Maybe once or twice as a kid but not generally. I got a 1940 Walking Liberty half PCGS MS-64 this year. I'll post it in a thread when I have time to image it. Also getting a coin to be named later. Not sure what that will be yet.
