Too bad it will get vacated because of Coach Cal.

Still, I guess I owe Cheater Cal a big thank you, because if he didn't tuck tail and run from Memphis, Xavier Henry would have gone there and we wouldn't have him at Kansas this year.
Good thing he didn't follow Cal to Kentucky, Frank Hardy and Estil would fill this board with posts about how they have the two best freshman in the country.
<< <i>Its useless to argue with Estil, he apparently thinks a head coach isn't supposed to be held responsible when two teams that he coached had to vacate their respective final four appearances.

Yep, nothing like being a blind fan.
Seriously though, how can a coach follow a player (Marcus Camby) 24-7. Camby had dealings with an agent ON HIS OWN.
How can a coach follow a recruit (Derrick Rose) 24-7 before he even commits to his school. Rose was cleared to play by the NCAA. What coach would not have played him, especially if he didn't know he cheated on his SAT.
I guess Bill Self could have followed those players 24-7, since he coaches Kansas, right?
I just choose to give people the benefit of the doubt. And yes, I did so when he coached Memphis, and I would do so to any other coach. Calipari was cleared of any wrong doing. If I have my story straight, he even turned in one of the problems to the NCAA himself (Not sure if it was Camby or Rose).
I find it amazing that the news media, or anybody else for that matter, doesn't bring up Sam Gilbert when it comes to UCLA winning all of those championships.
