Concerning the 1945 Walking Liberty Half - Missing designers initials...

The pix of this variety in the Cherry Pickers Guide show a coin that has weak , or partial, initials-- as opposed to missing initials.

All of the mint state examples I have seen (all unattributed), also show remnants of initials. The only example I have seen that I would truly call missing initials, was a heavily circulated example.

So, my question is, "Will PCGS certify these 'partial initial' coins as the FS variety?"

Any body have an example of one attributed by PCGS?

Good question. On all of the few examples I've ever seen I could still see at least some trace of the right side of the W (just as I think I can still see it in the photo in the Cherrypicker's Guide). I've never seen one in a PCGS holder, but I have a Fine-15 or so coin in there now for grading.
    When in doubt, don't.
