Should I worry about shipping to unconfirmed Paypal Address...
...when being paid by eCheck? Are there any charge back concerns I should have? I've read way too many horror stories on here about Paypal.
One other thing, I tend to ship anything valued over $800 registered USPS. But in order to cover myself with paypal, what type of signature medium should I purchase at the post office? Return Receipt, Signature Receipt, Delivery Confirmation? Every time I purchase the signature receipt and insurance, the guy at the post office questions whether I really need the signature since the recipient would need to sign anyway for something insured over $200? I'm wondering if that flies with PayPal though. I hate to keep spending the $2.85 for each package I ship.

Can I ship to unconfirmed addresses?
Answer :
Yes, the transaction must be marked eligible or partially eligible for Seller Protection on the Transaction Details page.
* If the transaction is marked eligible, protection for both Unauthorized Payments and Item Not Received will apply. If it is marked partially eligible, protection for only Item Not Received will apply.
* Items sold on eBay will be marked eligible even if the shipping address is marked unconfirmed.
* Generally, items sold on websites other than eBay will be marked eligible if the shipping address is marked confirmed and partially eligible if the shipping address is marked unconfirmed.

What is the Seller Protection Policy?
Answer :
Seller protection is a safeguard for claims, chargebacks, or reversals based on the following reasons:
* Unauthorized Payment
* Item Not Received
Seller protection does not provide protection for:
* Claims, chargebacks, or reversals for significantly not as described.
* Intangible purchases.
* Items that you deliver in person.
* Transactions made through PayPal Direct Payment or Virtual Terminal.
Seller protection is available for qualified transactions everywhere PayPal is accepted. The Transaction Details page displays whether or not it is eligible for coverage under this policy. If it is, ship to the shipping address displayed on the Transaction Details page.
Proof of delivery:
Proof of delivery is acceptable documentation if a buyer files a claim, chargeback, or reversal for either an unauthorized payment or merchandise not received. You need online tracking information from a shipping company that:
1. Shows the status as delivered.
2. Shows the date of delivery.
3. Includes the recipient’s address, showing at least the city/state or ZIP code (or their equivalent).
4. For payments of $250 USD (or local currency equivalent) or more, includes proof of the recipient's signature to confirm delivery.
Proof of shipment:
Proof of shipment is acceptable documentation if a buyer files a chargeback or reversal for an unauthorized payment. You need a document from a shipping company that:
1. Shows the status as shipped or delivered, or shows a postmark.
2. Shows the date of shipment.
3. Includes the recipient’s address, showing at least the city/state or ZIP code (or their equivalent).

<< <i>If something is over $250, Pay Pal requires signature confirmation even if it is registered. Do not listen to anyone at the Post Office that says you do not need it. You do. >>
Good point.
I had a USPS employee tell me that I did not need signature confirmation if I also purchased insurance (which I had already put on the package).
I got it anyways. You need it.

I thought registered required signature at every step including final delivery. Are youbuyng signature receipt because it is viewable online? Is the registered signature not viewable?
