Carol, what do you think about this idea? Autograph people and TTMers please read

I know this has been broached before, but this may actually be the time for action on PSA's part. I believe there are now upwards of 12-15 TTM threads that are constantly updated on the Sports Cards and Memorabilia Forum (including mine). Can we agree that autographs should now be it's own subheading under this section of the message board (alongside Buy/Sell/Trade Forum, Set Registry Forum, Sports Talk Forum, Non Sports)? I am aware that there is a PSA/DNA Message Board that no one posts on. Can't PSA simply have a link to an Autographed Cards and Memorabilia Forum on both the PSA Card and PSA/DNA pages? It can be the same link. It wouldn't even require creating a new forum - only a new link that can be listed alongside the other forums on the Message Board front page. The new forum that I'm proposing would act on both Message Boards and would be a seamless addition to the front page.
I love Autographs/Through-The-Mail and Card collecting, and I split my time reading about both on this forum. But I do think a lot of worthwhile card-specific threads are pushed off the front page too fast because of the plethora of TTM threads. I choose to read about everyone's TTM and autograph successes, but I know there are some here who could care less about autographs.
I don't think that moving these great threads to an Autograph Specific heading would do any harm to the readers, collectors and members of this forum. In fact, I think it would enhance how people go about filtering through information on these forums.
I would like to hear the opinions of the autograph collectors on this forum. What do you guys think? If you're one of the regulars updating threads here, it would be very helpful to have your input. I have PM'd Carol about this before but have received no response.
thenavarro, yankeesno7, dboneesq, ahmanfan, jswieton, leathtech, gregm, nam812, lsutigers1973 - what do you guys think?
If I'm crazy, so be it. I do think this is a better suggestion for cleaning up the forum than combining all TTM threads into one.

The current scheme works right for me.
I want to see all of the TTM-threads in the main mix.
Moving the threads could lead to a decrease in readership.
I look at all of them and don't want to go hunting for
them on another board.
The TTM-threads are of interest to folks who do NOT themselves
collect TTM.
.............
I may be missing the need for the change.
Exactly what is wrong with the way the threads are currently presented?

"...the ttm threads wouldn't get lost so quick amongst a bunch of other threads...."

Under the "customize" tab - below the navigation box - the
user will find:
How many topics do you want listed when you enter a category?
That number can be set to as many as 100-threads per page.
That is at least a couple of days worth of threads.
Most TTM threads get modified/bumped often; that is a good thing.
I have no trouble finding a thread titled "TTM," within the mix.
I read them all; there is really no need for me to comment inside of
the thread each time I read it in order for me to enjoy the thread.
Moving TTMs out of here is like removing a feature section from a
newspaper. It would both diminish access to the threads AND reduce
the time that some readers spend on this board.
......................
If people hated the TTM threads, there might be reason to move them.
(Like "precious metals" was moved out of the coin forum.) Almost all
readers like some aspect of the TTM threads.
ALL three of the folks I noted positively in the Poster Of The Year discussion,
maintain TTM threads. Such threads are ON TOPIC in the Sports Cards and
Memorabilia Forum.

If their page is set to show 100-threads, they have plenty of stuff to choose from.
If they "mind" any thread/poster, they can just ignore it and read another.

"...if it seems like the consensus is the status quo, I'll edit the title to 'DELETE' before Carol returns Monday...."
I am NOT arguing against anybody suggesting ANY change
they want to see implemented.
I am ONLY arguing against the merits of the specifically suggested
change itself.

If TTMers want maximum exposure for their threads, THIS board is the place to get it.
The current TTM-threads here have acted as proselytizing agents. That effect would
be greatly reduced - maybe eliminated - if the threads were moved.

I think we should keep em here. To add greatness to the forum they belong in.
No offence at all VitoCo, I think I understand your post and it`s purpose. But I`d rather see the board half full of TTM threads, than not. I don`t agree that the board is mainly dedicated to graded cards.
Sports cards and memorabilia.

<< <i>I would really like this idea. I am a TTM'er but have refrained from opening a new thread. The biggest reason being that I didn't think that a lot of people wanted to see another thread with some of the same autographs that show up in each of the other TTM threads. >>
That is a good point as there may be other members who don't post their TTM's because they feel like there are enough now. A new thread may encourage other members to post.
Either way I enjoy reading the TTM's even though I don't comment in them.

I'm not meaning to sound like I'm pouting, it's just that I am very proud of my 730+ Cardinals TTM autos, and every time I update the thread (which has been going on for nearly 3 years), it sinks to the bottom faster than a john boat with the bottom missing.

<< <i>Great point and I kind of like the idea. However, it really would not matter to me because (as proved by the exclusion of my name in the OP) I don't think very many people look at my Cardinals TTM thread anyway.

Shane, I always read your Cardinals TTM thread! Wasn't a slight at all. I wrote the last part of that post in 20 seconds and wasn't trying to list everyone off
