Can someone explain how the point system works for the Lincoln set?

I know you get certain point for certain RD RB or BN, but how do they add them up to get the small number?

If I add the 3 and 4 points I get for the few coins in my set I get 94 points, but my grade is something like 8 points.....anyone know how they do this? Or should I go right to the source and ask PCGS?

Thanks,
Ray

    (grade+Color_bonus)* weight for each coin

So for a MS66RD that has a RD bonus of 2 and a weight of 3 you get (66+2)*3=204

add this up for all your coins

divide by the total weight (which is 419 in the Early Lincoln case)

    get you score

(or just look at my sheet that I just emailed you :&gtimage

  • Just complete the 1909-1928, thebigeng, and you'll be top 10 whatever the "color". They don't even need to be MS. The weights on the first 20 years are so high, you don't need the other Lincolns in the set.

  • But you don't want to do that because you'll bump me out of the top ten. image
