what's a authentic but trimmed card worth in your opinion

Whats a valuable card, say a 52 Mantle for example, worth to you if it were deemed authentic but trimmed by one of the major grading companies? Say the card looks top notch at first glance, like a PSA 6 or 7 maybe but upon measurement its slightly short. Is this a worthless card in your opinion? is it worth the same as a beat up but unaltered PSA 1 or 2? more? less? Curious as to peoples opinions on the matter.

I will definitely buy a nice looking AUTH card, but ONLY if I can steal it.
If I just wanted a filler/example to own/keep, I would pay a little more.
If I had resale in mind, I would pay much less.
Absent good eye-appeal, I would not really be too interested.
Many vintage cards especially "E" and some "D" cards were trimmed long ago (1970's), not to look NRMT and deceive, but to fit the 1st plastic pages that were tight on these slightly taller cards. Some were even trimmed long long ago (1910 era) to match the slightly smaller "T" cards in size. ecven candy box cards are often found cut to the exact same size as a "T" card.
Trimmed....... I think vintage T,N,E,D,M,W cards hold up better value wise than the Modern Topps stuff. The Topps/Bowman cards were trimmed mainly to deceive when resold.
BTW - I like the AUTH Mantle much, much better than the PSA 1.
