Chris Henry -- a wide receiver on the Cincinnati Bengals -- is fighting for his life after falling out of the back of a moving pick-up truck earlier today.
Police say Henry had been involved in a "domestic situation" with his fiancee, Loleini Tonga, in North Carolina, when she tried to leave her home in a pick-up truck. Cops say that's when Chris ran after the yellow truck and hopped into the bed.
Cops say the domestic dispute continued in the back of the truck until, "Mr. Henry came out of the back of the vehicle."
We're told when cops arrived to the scene, Henry was still in the middle of the road, and suffering from "life threatening injuries."
According to KYPost.com, Henry is believed to have suffered "severe head injuries."
Henry was transported to a local hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment.
We're told a crime scene unit is currently at the scene conducting an investigation.
Henry has not played for the Bengals since November, when he broke his forearm during a game.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chris Henry has died, one day after suffering serious injuries upon falling out of the back of a pickup truck in what authorities describe as a domestic dispute with his fiancee.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said Henry died at 6:36 a.m. Thursday. Henry was 26.
Away from the team because of a broken arm, Henry was rushed to the hospital Wednesday after being found on a residential road "apparently suffering life-threatening injuries," according to police.
Police said a dispute began at a home about a half-mile away, and Henry jumped into the bed of the pickup truck as his fiancee was driving away from the residence.
Police said at some point when she was driving, Henry "came out of the back of the vehicle." They wouldn't identify the woman, and no charges were immediately filed.
"Detectives continue to work diligently on this active investigation," police said in a statement Thursday announcing Henry's death.
Henry is engaged to Loleini Tonga, and the couple has been raising three children. Tonga's MySpace page identifies herself as "Mrs. C. Henry" and has a picture of her next to a person who appears to be Henry. She also has a post from Tuesday talking about buying wedding rings. A neighbor said Wednesday that the Tonga family owns the home where police say the incident began.

An arrest in the case is imminent.
