Krause on DVD and PDA's

Anyone ever used their Krause CD"s and uploaded them to a PDA, Itouch, or similar device? Lugging around books gets old and I wanted a way to carry the information with me on a PDA, of some type... I don't have a PDA and didn't want to buy one if this wasn't possible... anyone try this yet?

No, but it will be very difficult to read the type and see the details of the coin even if you could. That is a lot of information to install. -Dan

But on things like an ITouch you can zoom in.... You are right that it is a lot of information though...

You may can download it onto a site online then access it through your pda.

The DVDs are in PDF format and most PDAs can handle that either natively or with an app added (I'd still advise googling the model you're interested in!). Thing is, they don't always handle PDFs well. The Krause books are a few hundred MB in size, which can give a PDA fits if it loads at all. One thing to do with them is to chop up the parts you need - make a pdf for Germany, one for France, etc. The smaller bits should work better.

If you do have trouble with the PDF even in smaller chunks you could just export and save the pages of it as images.

I've been taking some older PDF's to shows on my PDA. I also created an excel spreadsheet for certain 8 Reales varieties from Calbeto and Dunigan's. Great tool to have.

I just got the CD's from a BST transaction and I copied them to my laptop. Easier to lug that than 4 books. I am probably going to get a netbook so its even smaller to tote around
