If they pass this new - so-called - 'health care bill' --- will this bring gold up or down.
(I think if they fail to pass it that gold will stay stable or go down.)

I knew it would happen.
I would be curious to know why that one person thinks it will go down due to bill.
<< <i>The free health care will cost us $2.5T according to the CBO. More debt. Also, fannie and freddie want another $400b by the end of this year to function...that's another 800b. >>
Do these figures account for the illegal aliens who will soon become citizens? Once this bill passes, it's on to amnesty and maybe triple that $2.5T estimate.
That makes the $100 Billion that BHO and Hillary want to throw to corrupt 3rd world dictators for global warming payoffs look like pocket change.

and just think: only 3 more years to go!!!!!!!
So.... if it passes, perhaps the gold price will drift down for awhile since everyone will have to 'buy' a $4000? insurance policy from the guvermt..... and have less money to spend on other things?
But.... I suspect in a couple of years when the insurance takes effect.... gold will increase when the economy tanks even more due to inefficiency, fraud, etc. that is usually found with all guv run programs.
How bout that deal Sen. Nelson of Nebraska struck! Nebraska doesn't have to pay 1 cent for it's federal health care, EVER! Now I'm going to go out Monday and buy a well struck gold coin and/or bullion bar.

I do not see how this can be constitutional..... that one state is being treated vastly different than every other state. But then, what does the constitution mean anymore?
This could back fire on Nelson very easily. The health bill will pass.... the special treatment he got for Nebraska will be challenged in court and thrown out..... and Nelson will have nothing to show for selling out his Nebraska constituents. His voting for the bill is NOT what his constituents wanted at all, and he will have to face them in the next election.
