Political address help...TTM guys

A question for one of the forum's TTM guys....
Where do/would you send for the signature of a former president? I am a Canuck and am interested in getting former Prime Minister Jean Chretien sign a couple of books for me, but have no address. Would I send to him c/o 10 Sussex Drive (the PM's official residence in Ottawa), which is basically Canada's 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue? Or, as a former PM would that be a total waste of time?
I don't suppose anybody has a mailing address for the Honorable Jean Chretien do they?
