Al Gore is not willing to debate the issues that surround "global warming", yet he has $100,000,000+ interests in "green projects" that will only benefit if they are subsidized by large government backing.
Glenn Beck is willing to let people make their own decisions about gold, while trying to persuade them with his points of view.
Al Gore is not willing to let people make their own decisions about their own lifestyles. He wants the government to step in and force people into choices that will make him boatloads of money in enterprises that wouldn't be viable without government subsidies.
Who is the charlatan here?
I knew it would happen.

The answer is obvious. And, Steward is a dumba$$ - I'm very happy not to have cable TV. My 2 cents worth.

He did no more or no less than what he said he did.
Do I think that Glenn Beck is the reason the price of gold is as high as it is? Of course not. But if you were paying attention you'd note that the Daily Show didn't claim that either. They simply pointed out that the conflict of interest between GB and goldline exists and that Beck himself would certainly LOVE to take credit for the ever increasing spot price of gold (as illustrated by the clip in which he gleefully claims that gold went up $50 in just the time he was on the air the previous day). If you're a Glenn Beck fan I suppose you've long since decided to make allowances for bad journalism and lack of objectivity, but for people like me that insist that news and opinion television should be held to a higher standard this goldline issue is a real problem. This pretty plainly shows that the bottom line for GB is money and that if you have the scratch his opinion is for sale.

GB is the adult version of the "Soupy Sales Show". Just waiting for White Fang to throw a pie in his face.
A little Google search will show you how he can cry on demand.
