If the link is the card you are talking about the seller makes no mention of an error.

If the link is not the card in question how about you providing a link or auction number

so those that wish to opine can evaluate just exactly what you are asking.

Because I have no idea what you are talking about.

As for the tack holes, file a SNAD and let PP deal with it.

There is the regular Topps issue then there is the Milton Bradley version. You can tell by the color of the reverse. It's a brighter yellow.

    So this is it?

Because the other one looks like it has two pinholes too.

This one is in a Becket sleeve in the pictures...

F.Y.I. This rookie card also has an error on the back
this does not increase the value because it is an uncorrected error, which means all Ryan rookie cards have the error, these days if an error is caught then it is corrected and the original error cards value skyrockets this is not the case here but what are the odds that in the entire 1968 topps set that this very special card would contain an error that does not increase its value! sound funny?

I have no idea what the guy is talking about, I see Bill's answer and perhaps that is it. It does not matter like the seller said because it was not corrected. So why he even mentions it

means he needs fluff. With that said why buy a card from some schlock on ebay with 8 feedback? He spends all the time BS about the card yet makes no mention of the holes.

If it was me (and thank God it ain't) I'd email this clown and demand a refund. I'd further state that to protect myself I would be filing a PP SNAD. I'd expect this seller to refund all

postage costs too. He claims the card is in such wonderful condition yet is selling it for 250.00, MrGuby if it is too good to be true it generally is. That sort of card should be bought already slabbed

by one of the top 3 TPG's or a trusted person that you have already dealt with, never from some kid on ebay.

I would NOT and I repeat go through ebay for my refund. Paypal only.

    Good for you.

The error I mentioned has to be what he was referring to.

And the pinholes are visible in the scan. They are on the borders center top and center bottom. You can also see them on the reverse. A simple PayPal SNAD complaint and you'll get a refund...

The seller is thinking the 445 strikeouts are for 1 year, but if you read the card the stats are LIFETIME minor league totals.

The seller also states "I would give my personal grade of at least 7.5", so if there are 2 pinholes, there is your SNAD.

Guby did your friend use the cc via Pay pal? Then just file the SNAD.

If this schlock somehow has a store and accepts credit cards, (i'm too lazy to look at the auction again)

then the seller refunds at the POS.

From what I remember it was not a store sale and it is a simple PP refund.

    Good for you.
  • I can see the pinholes but probably wouldn't have seen them if someone hadn't told me they were there.

Look to the right of Nolan Ryan's head to see one of them. It appears on the image of the reverse as well.

The second pinhole is only visible (at least to me) on the reverse. Look at the last picture and on the black border to the right of "PITCHING RECORD", you can see the second pinhole.

At least that's where I see them.
