Another early Christmas for me. A new Prussian piece and a proof Edward VII Florin.
1698 SD Prussia 18 Groschen of Frederick I in an NGC 63 holder. Obviously dipped at some point but starting to retone. Frederick was known as Frederick III Elector of Brandenburg and Duke of Prussia at this point in time. By siding with the Austrian Empire in the War of the Spanish Succesion he was able to convince Leupold 1, Archduke of Austria and Holy Roman Emperor, to elevate his status to "King in Prussia".
And a 1902 Florin in a PCGS Matte PR63 holder, for the 1902 proof set I guess I am officially working on now.

Matte proof coins are always good to add to the collection.
