Watch out for incorrect claim on this 1825 quarter.

The guy claims this is the B-1, but it is not I checked. He thinks it is because PCGS put 1825/2 on the holder but that does not mean its a B-1. I wish people would just get these 1825 quarters figured out. If you buy it make sure you understand its not a B-1. LInk

  • Even so it would not be cool to purchase and assume its a B-1. I would want someone to let me know before i pulled the trigger on an awesome priced rare coin. Hopefully he does something about his little sticker. I tried to let him know about it, but he apparently has not done anything about it.

Yeah, I mentioned the same coin in this other 1825 Quarter thread. Maybe the seller will see these threads and make the needed change.
Positive BST transactions with: too many names to list! 36 at last count.
  • The coin is now listed on Ebay. So be aware.

  • I don't know his name. Someone else besides me needs to talk to him about the coin. He's going to upset the buyer if hes not carefull.

I just sent the seller a message pointing out the error and telling him the differences in attributing the B-1 & B-2.

Can't say if it will make any difference tho...

Yeah, especially if he/she bought it as a B-1!

Just to see if I remember correctly. Star 8 is higher on the cap on B1?
  • Now, I have a question. I looked at the PCGS price guide, and the coin shown is a 5337 PCGS coin number instead of a 5336. Having said this, how do we know this is not the B-1?

Edit: Ok. I see. The last star is "higher" on the B-1's (I think).
