Profit taking. Completely normal and it's to be expected.

If that didn't happen I wouldn't be able to buy back in. Today added more GDXJ....about 14% off it's peak from last week.

OP ..... gold and silver maybe tanking, but it's not too far off of the price it was on Friday because of the premiums.
Paper gold longs have taken it on the chin.

Re: Gold - that's because the Dollar is strong, Congress is economizing, health care failed, cap-n-trade failed, no new taxes, tax cuts stay in place, BHO is in favor of small business, czar's fired, Victory in Afghanistan.....not.

RE: Dow - might be because of Moody's AAA rating concern down the road for the USA and that BHO said today we need to spend ourselves into a recovery. Didn't he mention three weeks ago that he feared a double dip recession due to spending. No sense he makes.

Has anyone ever tried to hit those bids? I wonder how much, if any, they would take at those levels.

If you mean buy/sell I could have sold all of my gold @ $50 over spot on Saturday. One of the biggest midwest dealers (Michigan) and a direct buyer from the mint were basically out of gold and silver eagles and offered me plus $40 and then called me back after I visted and bumped to plus $50 over spot. I was actually there to buy gold and silver. I couldn't at plus $90 on the gold and plus $5 on silver over spot.......MJ

  • As I said, went out after work, two beautiful maples leafs fell out of the tree and into my pocket. You were right, it's falling out of the sky.

Also, discovered 2- 10 oz Prospectors that needed a new home.

Going 2 hours east tomorrow for sales calls, will skip lunch and see if the price is alittle lower in the country. Don't worry if the boss finds out that I am skipping lunch and not working, cause I am the boss.
