Slightly OT: Youth Olympic Games Medal Design Contest / Jamie Franki Submission
Hello All -
Ever since he & I served together in Mint's Artistic Infusion Program as Master Designers, it has been my honor to call Jamie Franki a friend.
As many of you know, Jamie's first coin design to go to metal was the 2005 Bison nickel - subsequently he designed the Jefferson facing forward portrait that appears on nickels to this day, and the Baltimore ANA medal.
This morning I got an email from Jamie - he has a medal design being considered for use in the first Youth Olympic Games that are going to be held in Singapore, 2010 - you can see it for yourself here: Link
You may have to click around a bit to find it, but his is the one called: 'Emerge'
If you like the design, please vote for it - it would be good for the Olympics to have such a wonderful design, good for Jamie, and good for our country to have a design chosen for this international competition that was made by one of its own citizens.
Thanks -
