Need help with a Peru 8R coin - Roman?

Got this coin in a trade today at the coin show I attended. I don't really collect these and have a couple questions. Is this date doubled? If yes, does it add any value to the coin? The coin is currently in an ANACS VF20 slab.

Coin was a bear to image.

Don, i'm at work right now on a pretty crappy monitor - can you tell me if the same doubling is present on the portrait and the rest of the obverse legend?

Roman, In looking at the pic it appears the letters are the same way... at least to me it does.

Unfortunately, ANACs is not as pro-active with World Coin varieties as they are with US- This does look interesting and seems to be a legit DDO beyond the scope of a repunched date. I like it and it does seem to have an appeal but I don't know if that appeal translates into more money. I think it should, but I can not say with a degree of certainty that it does.

Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.

Roman, the lettering on the obverse is also doubled. The portrait also to a lesser degree. I'll try to get more images tonight.

Thanks, Todd, Don. First off - i'll mention that it looks to be authentic. I'll go with this being a double-struck coin, not a DDO. Since "hubbing" wasn't used back then and individual elements were punched directly onto a working die, chances of the working die having this doubling and all elements of it going in the same direction are pretty slim.

I don't often see premium associated with 8 Reales varieties. Perhaps more around a clear overdate than doubling.
