Are proof sovereigns worth more than melt?

I have some proof English sovereigns from 1983, 1984 and 1985. Some are in caps only, some are in presentation boxes that house coins of multiple sizes. There are half sovereigns, sovereigns, 2 pound and 5 pound proof coins. Anybody have any info?

I have always valued these at about melt and have purchased them at or slightly below melt.
