Anyone got some good resources for these sorts ot things?
Specifically, I'm looking for the following two cards:
1952 Laval Provinciale #7, Roger McCardell
1958 Omaha Cardinals Team Issue #8, Don Choate
I've got them both as saved searches on Ebay, but since I'm not really into minor league cards, I don't know if there's sites dedicated to these things that could save me the wait time.

OK, I'll bite...what's the significance of these cards/players?
1992 GCL, 93 Stadium Club, 93 Greensboro,, 93 South Atlantic League, 93 Topps Marlins & Rockies,, 94 Classic Tampa, 94 Procards Tampa, 94 Florida State League & 95 Columbus Clippers.

I'm glad you asked.
They're both guys who played for the SF Giants. Neither were significant in the history of the Giants though, they just put on the uniform and took the field.
McCardell was a catcher on the 1959 team, and was 0-4 in his 4 game career.
Choate was on the 1960 squad as a reliever, and pitched 8 innings in his 4 game career.
Anyways, Topps never made cards for them.
This past summer, I thought it'd be fun to collect rookie cards of everyone who's ever played for the Giants in their SF years. Some guys had very short careers and never ended up on MLB cards, so for these guys I tried to find their earliest minor league cards.
Only 6 guys out of 755 were totally omitted from ever appearing on cardboard (according to my searches on Beckett's card database)

I was hoping it was for a project like this!!
IMF
If you want any other theres a decent chance I have it.
scans of all the cards I have are here
1952 FC-Unc. Laval Dairy (baseball)
Once in a while a group of Lavals will hit eBay and you might get lucky and the #7 is a part of it. The Omaha issue is tough too, Ive never owned any.
After all, no one will know who you need if you don't post their names
Regards
Rich
<< <i>Can you list the other 4 guys who played with SF that did not have RC's or other cards you could find in the Beckett DB

There are 6 guys total who never had their face on cardboard:
1958 - Nick Testa (1 inning as a catcher)
1958 - John Fitzgerald (started his only game, went 3 innings, giving up only a HR)
1960 - Neil Wilson (6 games, 0-10 with an intentional walk)
1970 - Bob Taylor (63 games, .190 avg)
1970 - Jim Johnson (3 games, 6.2 innings, 1-0, 8.10 era)
1970 - Miguel Puente (6 games, 1-3 in 4 starts, 8.20 era)

1958 Montreal Royals FC53 - 16 Clyde Parris

<< <i>PS. Both of the cards you asked about will be rarer than the T206 Wagner , seriously

Managed to snag this McCadell on Ebay recently. Nice card, has a spot of paper loss on the back due to it it being glued to something, and it's obviously OC, but I like it. If it truely is rarer than a Wagner, then I like it even more.
I missed out on the Choate though, which was up with a BIN... but decided to settle for one of those early 80s Fritsch "One Year Winners" cards with him in a Giants uni.

Love this! Congratulations!
Even as a Dodger fan I can appreciate this endeavor! Good luck!
