I don't know about the rest of the members but I don't care for monthly bills, in fact i hate them and do my best to avoid them.
i like yearly fees however if I don't use the freebees during that year, they just accumulate to when i do use them ie you don't lose them no matter what.
I don't like add ons or additional expenses, I like to know what i am spending upfront and then that is it but i do like to have choices and appreciate customization.
I dislike when I am giveth something and then it is taketh away, somehow that just doesn't sit right with me.
And I really like it when the vendor says the customer is always right and is listened to and is appreciated, who doesn't and it should go both ways.

I hear you Alan, but if you set it up to bill monthly to your credit card, what's the difference? It's not like you have to pay another bill or anything.

Realone, is this related towards the 8 (or 4) freebie submissions PCGS gives out for Platinum or Gold membership?

If so, then I can agree with you in some respect, and PCGS should be more upfront with the handling and notifying such matters.
On the other hand, PCGS is fair to run the memberships however they want, and if it means that those submissions are lost at the end the membership, then so be it.

As a side option (in that PCGS will continue its current mode of operation regarding this issue), you can always advertise here that if a board member wants/needs to submit coins which fit within the "membership coin-submission" guidlines, that you will use your un-used freebies for that member...albeit that he would probably pay you "X" for each coin submitted.

I run a business which has similar arrangements. We reset the clock every year. Everyone understands. And some lose out. To make it open-ended, with no expiration, means I'd have to raise the price because we build into the price structure the likelihood that some will not benefit fully.

I wouldn't be surprised if PCGS would have to do the same thing (raise membership fees if submissions were open-ended).
