TOPPS HOCKEY SETS 1977 1978 1979 1980 SOLD SOLD

1/8/2010: THE SETS HAVE BEEN SOLD.

NOTE: For sale is a lot of FOUR (4) TOPPS COMPLETE HOCKEY sets in a binder. All sets are complete with the exception of the 1977/1978 set which is missing card #1. That is the only missing card of all the hockey sets.

The major rookie cards in these sets are graded by PSA to ensure authenticity and provide an overview of the quality of the sets.

The 1980/1981 set is the unscratched version. The names are still covered in black and unscratched and the set is of exceptional quality. This set also contains many of the rookie cards of members of the Miracle on Ice 1980 Olympic Hockey Team.

The 1979/1980 set overall condition is Excellent Mint to Near Mint-Mint. The Gretzky Rookie Card has been handled extensively and has a crease through the front of the card thus the PSA 3 grading.

CONDITION: I am not a professional grader but the overall condition of the sets appear to be as follows:

1977 Topps Set - Excellent Mint to Near Mint-Mint

1978 Topps Set - Excellent Mint to Near Mint-Mint - PSA 8 MIKE BOSSY RC

1979 Topps Set - Excellent Mint to Near Mint-Mint - PSA 3 WAYNE GRETZKY RC

1980 Topps Set (Unscratched Version) - Near Mint-Mint to Mint - PSA 8 RAY BOURQUE RC, PSA 8 WAYNE GRETZKY

Please see the scans to judge the condition yourself.

Rookie Cards: The sets contain many rookie cards such as Wayne Gretzky, Ray Bourque, Mike Bossy, Mike Milbury, Bernie Federko, Doug Wilson, Ron Duguay, Reed Larson, Bobby Smith, Jim Craig, Ken Morrow, Mike Gartner and Rob Ramage.

Stars: The sets contain many star players of the 70's and 80's such as Bobby Orr, Denis Potvin, Larry Robinson, Darryl Sittler, Phil Esposito, Ken Dryden, Bobby Clarke, Bryan Trottier, Lanny McDonald, Borje Salming, Stan Mikita, Guy Lafleur and Marcel Dionne.

COST: Would like to sell all 4 sets in one lot for $350 but willing to sell sets individually. If you want to purchase sets individually then please PM with which sets you are interested in and we can go from there. Thanks.
