The Highlight of My Baseball Card Collection!

Below is just an image from where I created it. The actual cards should be arriving later today. I ordered them from Topps. They are actually baseball card stock fresh from the press, just like a real baseball card.

Ladies and Gentlemen, presenting a 2009 Topps #661 Andrew Hardie. There are only 15 made, so they are really rare. Each one should be in GEM MINT condition ( I will know for sure once I get them ). One goes in my 2009 set. One goes in my 2009 Cardinals team set. There will be an in person signing where he will only sign one card. It is going in my Topps Cardinals autograph collection.

On the back, I whited out his personal information (though probably not necessary). He is nine years old, and one heck of a prospect.

Here it is -

Cute kid Shane. HOWEVER, for Andrew's sake, I hope he gets drafted by a REAL team! LMAO!
    STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Over on SCN, we had a community set produced (Thanks to Mike!)

The cards turned out great. I can't count how many people sent for me to sign, since they were working on a complete autographed set.

  • Very Neat... my son is probably in his last year playing baseball... sign ups are this weekend and this is the last year he's eligible for "Little League" as he's a freshman... he loves the game but didn't make the 8th grade team last year. Will have to get this done for him.... great idea... thanks for posting and giving me the idea...

They grow fast enjoy the games with your son...

I agree. We get out in the yard quite often and play pitch or I'll let him hit. I will probably do this every year for a while. I wanted it to be a 2009 card since this is 2009. I tried to make every detail identical to the real cards. Of course, some options were not available, like a Cardinals logo where the Topps logo is, and the back is limited as to what you can do. I even made the card number #661 since there are 660 cards in the set. The stats you see are from a "random" MLB player from 2008. Of course, we all know that if my son played, his stats would be similar. image

...well now that I know about card 661; I'll have to make his #662 image

You have to fill in the stats yourself. Of course, you know good and well that those stats aren't random!

I just talked to PSA. They are going to slab a couple for me at $5 each. I can have what I want put on the flip as long as it doesn't have a grade. They cannot grade it because it is not an official card. Can't wait to get them sent off and get them back.
