Autograph Question

I'm hitting the Philly Show this weekend and have a decent Schmidt rookie that I was thinking about
having him sign. From your experience, what is best to use - Ball Point Pen, Sharpie?

Ball Point for cards and balls, Black Sharpie for larger stuff ie photos, jerseys, etc. IMO

Fine Point Staedtler Lumocolor permanent marker... either Blue or Black, your choice. This pen has been gaining popularity for signings the past 2 years and often they will have them available for the signers at shows now. If they have them there, that is 100% what I would recommend for any card signing.

I agree ... a permanent marker. Personally, I do not like ball point signatures on cards. Just my preference.

main thing is to stay away from Sharpies on balls, they will blur and fade over the years (leather doesnt like sharpies)

On a 73 Schmidt, I would use a fine point blue Sharpie or a medium point Staedtler Permanent Lumocolor pen.

Ballpoint looks great on the 50's cards as long as the card has an area where it would be good contrast, but for a 73 Schmidt, I would go with the two I listed above.
