Picked off my 1959 B type MS65 tonight to finish up my set, sending three off to our host and hopefully I will end up with a all MS65 set except for the c-type MS63 almost went for lees but limited funds right now. There seemed to be a good selection this weekend and saw a MS62 Type C sold for alittle over 80 bucks. Ok who got lee"s and who picked off the MS62 one? Enjoy
I got the MS62 but just miss the MS64 but I did not like the hit on his face so I did not want to go higer. But that is a nice grab for $81.01 for a MS62.

Congrats on the 62 almost bid as that was the seller I got my 59 from. I did notice the hits on lee's 64 too but still a nice looking coin. Just noticed last week I was missing the 59. I figure I did alright and got a couple extra silver quarters too. woohooo. my 1959 score Enjoy
Well grades are almost back they were suppose to be secure plus but they did standard and have already been sent so have to resend these but I am getting used to that, lee both my 1959 and 63 type b are ms64 ? Oh well and the most amazing thing the 1964 I posted on an earlier page as getting off ebay they graded it proof 55 ? Proof type B mmmmm maybe they were just looking at the back This is my last submission as this past month has just been unreal. Enjoy Tell Me Is this a Proof coin? And could this be a proof 55?
That same seller sold several raw b's advertised as gems. They brought fairly strong prices for raw coins. In addition to the 1956 priced above, the others sold for; 1957 - 58.50; 1958 - 32.99; 1959 - 17.04; 1960 - 34.99; 1961 - 58.99; 1962 - 53.50; 1963 - 22.00; 1964 - 51.00. With the 1956 mentioned above, that would be almost $500 for the complete set!
Teletrade sunday night 2 1956 type B MS64 sold, one for 75 toned and the other for 100. I picked off 2 1964 type B for 20 bucks each off of ebay and will send those off with the one dimtorts gave me last year. Enjoy
<< <i>is pcgs ever going to include these in price guide or registry sets??? i'd think once in price guide they'll explode >>
They actually had a few selected dates in the price guide, maybe a bit more than year ago, possibly closer to 2 years (the '56, '61, possibly the '64-D Type C, if I recall correctly), but then, after awhile, poof, they were no more. The problem is, judging by the lack of pricing, and the low graded coins that are available, not to mention the unattributed ones that do sell, you really can't count them, as they are NOT attributed...(I'm just assuming that if they aren't attributed, the prices can't be used in the the price guide pricing), it could be awhile for these to re-gain the momentum they had 2 years ago. I had '56's in MS64 that went for BIN's of $175, and they didn't last long. There are many varieties with prices in the guide, but I question why, when there WERE some prices posted, they didn't go full bore and ADD the rest to the guide, instead of eliminating them.
Well Lee was the one to tell me to start a registry set so that is the ONLY way that I know to check the pop reports and the price guide. Its free and easy to do. But I do agree that these should show up in the REGULAR price guide in order for anyone to see. I guess I was one of the last ones to fall for these, and now my set is almost complete it just seems like there is no interest in these. But of course like the Superbirds that no one seems to care about I have enjoyed collecting BOTH. Is there anyone at PCGS to ask if they can go back and include these like they used to? Or is there No way to make them see the importance of this? Root canal and vicodin nappy time.....................Enjoy

Tom....only vicodin for a root canal??? OUCH!!! Hope you feel better, bud.
oreville, not a big fan of toners, but I like that one! That type of bluish toning I do like!
Although I really haven't paid much attention lately, it seems that the price levels are low in grades 64 and below. 65's are a mixed bag depending upon the date. I think MS 66 and 67 still bring strong prices.
I have to say, I had a blast reading through this after a few years have passed. I forgot about that 64-D Type C MS63 that was relisted so many times on TT. Now I'd like to get some yellow in my set, at least one would be nice. Well, 2016 could be the year......
Our host checked in my 1964 B Type today woohoo My last one for the set..Enjoy

Wow its good to see this blast from the past. This was my first set I completed and remember the day they started the registry set I was number one for 1/2 day.
Update. Grade posted 3 years ago and thanks to dimtorts (David) for this 1964 to complete my Set. Sure do miss the Old days...........
Wow, a blast! I just sent in a few, came back with a '56 B in MS65, which I thought had a chance at a '6'. Blast white, grabbed from a dealers folder at a small show in Dedham, MA (a VERY small show).....dealer had $8 on the 2X2, got it for $5, used my CC voucher, just have to get it attributed now. 10 days turnaround time, not too bad. These seem to be few and far between now.

Do you usually send in economy/regular to see what grade is before spending for attribution?

I agree. The PCGS attributed label is worth $, but it costs you $.
I think the cheapest service fee is $14 plus $24 variety attribution fee plus mailing fees.

I paid $300.00 for it. They reluctantly accepted it as they did not realize what they had.

Here is a link to a type B web site. It, too, does not appear to be overactive. I think it has been referenced before, here, somewhere.
