VCP Question

I was thinking of joining but heard from a few dealers it doesn't take into account fixed price or Ebay store sales into its database. Only Ebay auctions get recorded. Does anyone know if this is correct?

  • I can say for certain that i does take into effect fixed price (Buy-it-Nows) as I had one sell yesterday for one of mine. I received an email from them (as I track all my graded cards that I'm interested in selling) stating that an item I was tracking Carlton Fisk had just completed. When I clicked on the link I realized it was my card... This is what the email tells you....

The following completed auction has just posted on the VintageCardPrices.com site:

    Carlton Fisk 224(BVG:9)

I don't have a store so I don't know the answer to that part of your question....

Thanks. The dealer I was talking too said his store items never showed up on VCP so I thought maybe that buy it nows or fixed priced auctions (are they really auctions at that point?) maybe didn't either.

  • One of the things I found out was that if the TITLE doesn't include the "Big 4" in it (PSA, SCG, BGS, GAI) then the auction would not be picked up by their site. I suggested to Bobby that they may want to include the word graded in their search criteria so that it does in fact pick up those sellers/auctions that use the item specifics for the auction/BIN but fail to include the grading company in their title.

I know that most auctions I was listing didn't always include PSA or Beckett; but always had the item specifics to show who grded it, what the grade was and any qualifiers. Therefore my sales weren't being included and I wasn't the only one listing it this way. Bobby did state I will look into it and if we are not getting those keywords we will get it added.

It may be the reason your dealer items never showed up...
