At $1200 per coin someone got a great buy on those 1 oz. gold Maples. At those levels I'd be a buyer rather than a seller. I bought some 1 oz AGE's last week at $1200 and was happy to get them.

I bought 1oz Buffs last week myself. I think that will look cheap soon. JMO

I bought some pre-issue 2009 American Gold Eagles from Apmex on Nov. 10th, and spot now exceeds the prices I paid on them.

The Gold Maples and British Gold Sovereigns that I bought in June & July are already up over $200/oz.

I still don't see any other good alternatives for new money besides pms. Every purchase has to be justified at the time of purchase.

I may tip-toe into Van Eck's gold minors, and I might open up a currency account at Everbank for future use.

I bought some gold and traded some of my silver for gold because I can't cram much more silver into my safe deposit box, over 1200 oz. in it. And I don't like keeping much PM's in the house.
Can always find room to stuff a few oz. of gold in there.

Peter Schiff was just on CNBC, saying gold is going to at least $5,000 oz. in a few years, maybe towards the end of Obama's term.

The floor trader that Schiff was debating sure didn't like what he had to say.
