Anyone know why Rhodium is up so much over the past month?

Last check it was hovering around $1500 oz bid, and today I checked and was quite surprised at its November performance. Any ideas why?

Probably because it had been driven into the dirt last year and it was just time to once again become the apple of some speculators' eyes.

During the recent meltdown gold, platinum and rhodium were trading at almost exactly the same price, around $800. Unfortunately, there was no practical way for small investors to buy rhodium. It's supposedly not a coinage-friendly metal physically, there aren't any rhodium exchange-traded funds, and the buy-sell spread on precious metals sites was too wide.
