Anyone want to explain Barrick

in Precious Metals
and their decision to eliminate their gold hedge book?

Isn't that about as "money where your mouth is" as a major player in metals can get?

    Has the last 9 months of bullish gold and silver been the product of individual buyers and foreign countries (Not USA) ?

    The only question with Barrick is if they eliminated those hedges with real gold or with yet more derivatives? The rise in the pog the past few months would tend to support they used real gold to settle up. But there is no real way for J6P to know if they recovered with just more paper. For now, everyone is giving them the benefit of the doubt. It would be nice to have Barrick back as a real gold company once again. It's been 15 years since they were anything but a hedger.
