What is the best sleeper set?

To parallel Boey's thread, what do you think is the best sleeper set. You know, the one nobody talks about or collects, yet one day everyone will wake up and it will sizzle. Kind of like mint state IKEs, but what will be next.
My top nomination is modern gold commems in proof or mint state 69 or better. They are incredibly beautiful, they are gold, most have incredibly low mintages, they are fairly cheap, they are not that common in 69, and almost impossible in 70, they have a wonderful historic pedigree.
The real sleeper might be modern platinum commems any denomination in proof or mint state 69 or better. Beautiful, dramatic design, low mintages, platinum, and unlike Gold American Eagles, they all have different reverse designs.

Modern gold commemorative = beautiful? Are you talking about US coins or foreign coins?
Perhaps clad Roosevelts? Hard to find in high grades. Today they are practically collected by no one.

Nice SLQ T1 full head icon Don!! DCAM proof Jeffs from the 50s are rare. There are fewer of them then all other denoms from the 50s. There are none in 69 or 70 DCAM. In all years and grades there are 58 Jeff DCAMs from the 50s. I have 4. There are 5 years with less than 5 DCAMs in all grades ('51-4, '52-4, '53-1, '57-3, '58-3), I don't have any of those. (numbers from the Jan pop report.)
The funny thing about proof Jeffs is there is a good market for the highest graded ones, so those PR 68 DCAMs can bring many thousands. The very next level down there seems to be few buyers. For example a '56 in 68 DCAM might be worth $5K (certainly over $3K, Wonder what is your bid?) but one in 67 DCAM was sold for less than $1500. However a '53 in 67 Cam went for $230. Remember there is only 1 in DCAM in any grade and only 8 in 68 Cam. A '52 in 67 Cam goes for $250 but one in 68 Cam is over a grand (I'm $900 bid).
OK, now for my answer I think the sleeper set is the next modern series that gets a new design. If it is Rooseys than I doubly agree with earlier suggestions, if it is Jeffersons I'm in great shape...
Full Step Jeffersons used to be sleepers. Not anymore.
Mercuries? No, their popularity is raging.
Possibly Roosevelts, but the problem here is even in high grades the clads are not attractive (and large enough?) to draw in the crowd of Collectors required to make the set take off.
As it stands, I can't think of a series that is simply just waiting for the right move by the right collectors to really see some hugh gains.
I think the best bet is to focus on those sets that are popular, but haven't peeked yet.

Id consider the sleepers the unpopular series... IE half dimes, 3CN, 3CS, 2centers, Seated, Barbers and so on...
