    I know it was an accident, but I'm kind of surprised Ballard didn't get reprimanded. Maybe Florida's lack of depth on D has something to do with it? They're only carrying 6 on the roster right now.



    I'm hoping the NHL can implement a rule where players going at the posts like that in anger becomes a 2 minute penalty or something. If he would've caught a regular skater and not someone with full face protection, the end result would have been MUCH worse than a cut on the ear.

    Pretty ridiculous thing to do out of frustration. Guy should be sat down a few games just for general puprose. Sending someone to the hospital on a streacher because you had a temper tantrum shouldn't be allowed to go unpunished.

    Ballard is one of the few guys I like in the NHL. Hate to see him be such and idiot.

    "Goaltender Craig Anderson left Wednesday's game in overtime after Panthers' defenceman Keith Ballard collided with him following a scoring attempt. Anderson, who appeared to hit his head on the goal post, was seen walking to a medical room with the trainer after the game to undergo some tests."
