And of course, congratulations to all who purchased it at much lower levels and still own it...

  • Ah, I was keeping an eye on it several hours before, stalling at around 1180.

Now to check if silver got the memo.

That was fast. So much for the correction last week.

"So much for the correction last week."

The corrections phase after a spike seems to be lasting about 48 hours. Where are all those $700 gold pundits or maybe they are just punters. Maybe they were busy loading up on AIG.

Once Bob Moriarity assured us all that the top was in......I figured it surely wasn't.

It didn't take long following $1100 to get to $1200. Wouldn't be surprised if $1300 is not all that far away either. Now if only silver would join in and take out $19.

I stopped by and said "Congratulations" to my sdb.image

Once Bob Moriarity assured us all that the top was in......I figured it surely wasn't.

I just read his post yesterday and he said that *a* top was in, not necessarily *the* top. While I find some of his commentary to be interesting, I'm not quite sure about him. I do know that I don't like his personal biases.

Yes, I suspect $1300 is not far behind.

I for one hate higher metal prices. My lab bill to have crowns made is going higher and higher and that is going to equal higher cost to my patients.

I am just one little example. I wish people would realize that high metal prices is not a reason for most people to celebrate.

I have my fair share of precious metals, I still wish it would stay low. I am young and hoping that the U.S, its economy and our dollar stay strong.

I would like to enjoy the fruits of my labor in a decent country

Gold is holding a press conference today at 3:00 est. where all your questions will be answered.

You're a U.S.-certified dentist, there's always a market for your services. If a dollar collapse and/or Obamacare means you'll get paid a pittance, perhaps you'd like to move to Costa Rica? Peaceful, and they speak English...

Is there really that much gold in a crown? Doesn't look like more than 1/10 of an ounce--a tiny part of the cost of the procedure, if true.

There goes his 500 to 700 % markup. I do agree if the ecomony returned to normal it would be better for us all and my collection could continue.

It's more important to know why pms are going higher than to bemoan the fact that they are going higher. It's important to act accordingly, because there is little chance that we will have much to say about it.

I am young and hoping that the U.S, its economy and our dollar stay strong.

We all wish that things were different, but that doesn't change things. Start reading. There are reasons for what is happening, and a strong dollar isn't in the government's interest, nor the banks'.

Here's a pretty good article that says it all.

Inflating away the Debt? Not really...

Don't ignore reality, and act accordingly to protect your family - to protect what you earn and to protect what's rightfully yours. Things will change, but in the meantime you have to stay in the game and be aware of what is happening.

It really is a "trickle-down" effect. The first beneficiary is the government, then the banks. Everything else is on the other side of the ledger. We now have a malicious system in control.

    (just my opinion, of course)

Doc, don't think you'll have much support here. This is a PM forum whereby we buy, hold, and sell. Go out and buy gold TODAY and sel itl to your lab. You've got an opportunity to add to your profits. Yes and the falling dollar is another reason most people don't celebrate.image

  • "“Gold has made all-time highs versus major currencies like the euro, Swiss franc and pound,” said Mario Innecco, a broker at MF Global Ltd. in London. “People want to get rid of paper and buy a currency that can’t be deflated. That’s gold.”

"Gold traded in euros, pounds and Swiss francs climbed to all-time highs on Nov. 27. link"

With gold making new highs in EVERY major currency (save the Japanese, I think, since the yen has more than doubled in value since 1980) everyone is chasing gold upwards - for now.

being excited about rising gold, is like being excited about the bubonic plague -- or so I heard it put recently by an economist talk show host. It's what comes with it, that is the bad.

What he said. You might not "profit" from understanding what's going on if things get really bad. But you might save your home or your autonomy, or maybe even your rear end.

my 1300 target based on the reverse head and shoulders formation is now just a few days away. but when 1300 is reached it would not surprise me to see a consolidation phase. Im not saying that there will be a consolidation phase, Im just saying it would not surprise me to see one.
