Teletrade - Well this is kinda Interesting........

I don't think I've ever come across a "sight unseen" Teletrade Auction before!

And it even has bids! image

I'm thinking that something got a little screwed up!

I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    Nothing screwy here IMO.

When you browse the catalogs, you pick either all lots or Imaged lots only.

  • I've seen a couple of those. i always figured hey would be fixed by SHOWTIME! (insert jazz hands here)

I guess consignors need to review the lots and make sure all is well...

There is also a 1926 Oregon PCGS 66 with no pictures today. Never saw that?
  • What! you guys don't trust Tattle Trade to sell you an authentic PCGS graded coin sight unseen?

Where is your heart- everyone can trust a PCGS graded coin to be exactly as it is stated- and don't you forget that mister....image

    Thats not the point.

The point is folks appeared to have been bidding on something which they cannot see.

Now perhaps the winning bidder stopped by Teletrade and "viewed" the coin which was won for $160 + fee's?

As for the coin being auctioned, it's a Doubled Die IKE but not one of THE doubled die IKE's so I'm curious about that final hammer price.

I was underbidder on one like that

I suspected it was the coin in history that sold 3-4 weeks ago

and got returned and coin pic not linked/reposted

I see now that the photo has been added to the auction but that sure was a lot of money for one of these.

Perhaps I should submit all of mine for this attribution and sell them on Teletrade?
