Little OT: Does anyone else work for a company that manufactures stuff from 90% US silver?
The company I work for makes "slip rings" for an instrument that we manufacture. I had the chance not to long ago to see the techs repairing one of these instruments. The slip rings still showed signs of being made from morgan (or maybe it was peace) dollars. I pulled the drawing for the slip rings and sure enough in the title block under material is reads "coin silver."
I guess since Silver Oxide is conductive this makes sense...
Other than the obvious jewelry, does anyone else work for a company that machines old coins?
