Hypothetical question (real story) Update again

If I were to trade 6 gold coins for 1 gold coin and the value of the one is worth more than the 6 according to PCGS price guide ... did I do good ?


HERE are the real coins ... I had an 1897 AU50 $10 lib an 1881 $5 lib in AU50 and a 1986,2004,2005 and 2008 1/10 AGE .... the first 2 are PCGS

duh ... still having a turkey hang over I traded it for a PCGS 1925 MS63 Saint in an OGH

So long as all coins were accurately graded and the Saint is attractive for the grade, I approve and would do the same if I had the opportunity.

I have to agree with RYK in that if the coins are of equal quality for the grade, are accurately graded, are original and have good eye appeal then I would be happy with that trade.

Way too many variables. Was the Saint a real 63? Being in an old holder means nothing; the quality of the coin itself is what's important.

I brought the saint to my dealer friend.. he says in his opinion a solid 63 with a chance at a 64 ... My au50 in my opinion were accurate
