Just what the boards need...anther TTM thread (Greg M official thread) - updated for w/e 12/4

Ok,

I finally decided to share scans of my TTM successes. My interests are varied (all confined within football) and my sets span 1948 to 1989. My collecting goals are threefold: To have one signed card of every NFL HOFers (right now, I'm around 17 short), to have every regular issue card signed of every HOF player (right now, I have over 1000 vintage cards signed by HOFers including every regular issued card signed by Chuck Bednarik, Willie Davis, Stan Jones, LeRoy Kelly, Charley Trippi, Billy Shaw, Mike McCormack and Bill Dudley. I'm only 1 or 2 cards short for another 15 to 20 HOFers. My third goal is to have every regular issue Topps, Leaf, Fleer, Bowman, Score and Philadlphia signed from 1948 to 1989. The sets that I'm closest on are 1955 Bowman and 1957 Topps..both of which I have nearly 110 cards. Enjoy and please feel free to post comments or ask questions.

Rgs,

Greg M.

Whatever became of that autograph that was sent to the wrong guy and then the guy decided to be a big douche about it?

$20 per auto, but it goes to a charity that he runs.

    Greg,

Could you PM me the addresses for George Tarasovic and Carlos Carson?

Those are two former Tigers that I'm lacking...

Thanks Fred. A board member just provided a bunch of addresses for players that we need for the 1990 ND set. I just bought 2 boxes and will start sending out TTM requests next week. I'll give you any doubles that I receive.

It's funny that you ask about the Bednarik cards. About a month after the whole Bednarik fiasco, I sent Chuck the final card I needed signed (besides his rc and 61 Fleer that were lost) to have an entire run of his regular issued cards signed. I included a note plus $. In my note, I said that I was the person whose cards were lost and basically told him that it was my fault for sending such an expensive card through the mail (since I had sent him a letter the week after the cards went missing with scans of the two cards - and he wrote back and apologized saying that he must have screwed up). Anyways, the next week I received my card back signed (it was a 1948 Exhibit) and lo and behold he sent back my 1948 Leaf and 1961 Fleer cards signed! He included a short note that he found my cards and apologized for the mix up! I was so overjoyed that I went online and mailed him a 4 pack of Lou Malnotti's pizza to thank him for finding my lost cards and mailing them back. He actually wrote me a thank you card...and said that he and his family really enjoyed the pizza's... Too funny.

What is Lou Malnotti's Pizza?? Can I order them shipped to me in Texas? Do they have a website? I will occasionally order pizzas from Gino's in Chicago and they ship them to me in dry ice so I'm always interested in trying a good pizza pie.

    Mike

(EDIT- I just found Malnotti's online. I didn't realize they were Chicago pizza as well. I might have to try them. Looks yummy from the website!)

    Mike,

My personal favorite is Lou Malnoti's. Before I moved to Wichita, there was a Lou Malnoti's 10 minutes from my house and we would get a pizza delivered every week or two.

You can order a pizza pack here (I just ordered a 4 pack last night..lol) - Tastes of Chicago web site

You can also order from other Chicago area restaurants on the same website. If you've never tried Portillo's, you should try an italian beef pack...
