I sold several on presale. I now have in-hand coins. The difference is the "no returns".

What he is trying to avoid is the return if the price on ebay goes to $1600 before delivery. The buyer backs out and buys at a cheaper price. OTOH, if the price jumps to $2200, the buyer wants to hold the dealer to the deal.

As a seller, you can't avoid presales on a coin like this or when you get your coins you find many of your customers have impatiently locked into a presale with someone else. I did not put any no-return language in my presales. What I did successfully is put this wording in my presales:

"Buying a presale is a risk decision for you the buyer. Prices can go up and prices can go down. I want to give those who want to lock in a price early a chance to do so and I want to give you the lowest offered price. Feel free to contact me if you want to further discuss the pros and cons of presales. Of course you can wait until I get the coins back and buy at the prices then. They may be lower, or they may be higher. I don't want anyone to think they need to buy now or the coins may not be available later."

I haven't had anyone try to back out of a presale even though prices did go down a little after the early ones. Treat people as adults and they act like it.

Option of refund OR WHAT???? I am sure the seller is reputable, but I am not clear on this "option".

Sellers like notwilight (and myself) have coins in hand and ready to ship at essentially same price level (no pre-sale risk of any kind).

Seller sounds like a JERK! There are a LOT of other sellers selling these. I would go elsewhere. Despite the foolish tone of his note "I do not play games" it's the no return that is the dealbreaker for me.
