Look what I bought for $8 on the streets of San Francisco!
Must be my lucky day. What are the chances that someone is selling a '93s Morgan
for a ridiculous price when I walk by? As it was an illegal immigrant who sold it
to me I think I should get a big "You Suck" for the irony of it all. He had a few 1804
dollars for sale but I think he had more than were known so I thought those might
be counterfeit

Morgan series for less than a grand
Dahlonega closed.
not bad if it has that silver dollar look in hand. Could fool a lot of folks.
Cast counterfeit? Does it have a seem on the edge? Oh, and wrong date
placement and only one obverse was used.

shenanigans
You may have a counterfeit since the "1" is not square over the dentil.

I think someone said it already, but that 1 in the date is not squarely over the dentil - first thing to look for in a good 93-s
are unaccounted for in this case. The Chi, err, I mean the mint would never deceive.
You can be the judge on the edge of the coin. From a foot away it's very nice. It's
maybe 3/4 the weight of an actual Morgan.
Other than the giveaway of the weight I think that without a loupe this coin might
fool my novice eyes.
I also picked up this Trade Dollar. Not quite the quality on this one. Wish I knew how
to engrave as I'd love to make a "potty" coin.
Now you may be able to get the clap from a Tenderlion crack lady for eight bucks
but Victor Delta will set you back at least $25 here in my swanky Mission 'hood.

Somehow this is the funniest sentence I think I've ever read. I feel dirty just reading it

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

As you can see from the closeup, any reasonable collector could spot this counterfeit easily.
The newbies are a different story though but then, its all a part of the learning curve and if someone has $100,000 to spend for one of these, you'd think he/she'd do their homework before jumping in, just like they do with stocks or any other financial venture.
Edited to add: BTW, you got ripped off since $8.00 is moon money for this stuff!
The name is LEE!
weird reeding and the top half does not match the bottom half.
hmmmmmmm,
