I can't afford Continental Currency. Not the metallic version, anyway. I might be able to afford some really raggedy examples of the paper version.
A agree with the "buck or two as a curiosity" school of thought on your piece, there. It reminds me of one a young uncle of mine had, which I admired when I was a young collector. Though an uncle by marriage, he was about my same age (a little younger than me, actually). Neither of us knew if it was real or not, but I owned a Redbook. I knew there was a good chance his was fake, but in our mutual ignorance, we daydreamed about the "what if" possibilities of it.
So your piece isn't totally worthless. It just spurred a bit of nostalgia in me. I reckon it was probably made in the 1960s, when numismatics peaked in popularity. (I wouldn't know about that since I started collecting in 1976, though).
